Honoree Daniel Fischer

On Apr 10, 2025 the LMCC Board nominated and presented award to Mr. Dan Fischer designating him as a "Honoree Board Member" in recognition of his 20 years of outstanding leadership and dedicated service as member of the LePageville Memorial Cemetery Board of Directors.

Daniel Fischer, a Landscape Architect with EMC Engineering Services, Inc. involvement with the preservation of LePageville began in 2005 following survey work that his firm performed in the area. Since then Dan has given of his time, professional knowledge and interest in the history of the area in an effort to advance the goals of the organization while giving back to the community.

To name a few:

In 2006 - meets with George Ponder to prepare for memorial arch construction
In 2012 - took on the role as the Treasurer for LMCC
In 2013 - presented his "LePageville Memorial Cemetery Initiative Past, Present and Future" presentation to the Chatham County - Savannah MPC
In 2015 - EMC surveyed the cemetery property
In 2016 - class presentation of LePageville at SSU for Dr. Felicia Bell (former SSU liaison to LMCC)
In 2017 - donated his time and company resources to prepare the "Master Plan" for LMC
In 2019 - presented his Master Plan at the Community Workshop held at PARC
